| Drawings | We have all emerged from an ocean with webbed fingers. Our tears and blood are salt. Drawings are the best technique to express it. For me, most if not all famous oil painters, including Leonardo and Rembrandt were much more expressive in their drawings than in their oil paintings. Drawing is like studying the Ancient Greeks or Classical Piano – you cannot draw from your conscious mind; it is too naïve. You must use your subconscious in some magical way to express yourself. |
